Over the last six months, the number of Eritrean refugees entering Sudan has been growing. Eritrean People’s Party source say, since the beginning of December 2008, the number of new arrivals to Shegrab refugee camp totaled 1206. Owing to the escalation of repression and human rights violation in Eritrea, the rate of new arrivals is expected to increase in 2009.
